There is a new study. It is shocking. It says that insects are dying. There are 2.5 less insects every year. In 10 years, there can be 25% less insects. This would be very bad.
People do not know why this is happening. However, they think that it is because the planet is getting warmer. Also, people use chemicals in farming. That can be a problem for the insects, too.

Furthermore, insects pollinate most plants which means people cannot grow crops without them.
Insects are very important, so it was a great shock when a report found that the mass of insects is falling by 2.5 percent a year. If this continues, there will be 25% less insects in just 10 years. If that happens, all of life will be in terrible danger.
There are two answers to why there are less and less insects. It is probably earth’s rising temperatures, as well as the use of chemicals in farming.
