Scientists found ancient shipwrecks at the bottom of the Black Sea off of Bulgaria, and they believe that one of the wrecks is 2,400 years old and was a Greek trading vessel.
The shipwrecks were in such deep water that there is no oxygen, and this means they are very well-preserved. This is the first time people can have a look at ships this old. Before, we could only see them in books or in paintings.

People found a never-before-seen shipwreck off the coast of Bulgaria in the Black Sea. Scientists believe that one of the wrecks is a 2,400-year-old Greek trading vessel.
Edward Price from the Black Sea Maritime Archaeology Project said that there are ships at the bottom of the ocean that people have never seen; we have only seen them in paintings, murals and books.
The oxygen-free environment means that the wrecks are extremely well preserved, and the recent findings led to their own documentary project at the British Museum.
